Did you hear? The writers strike is over.
No, no, don't faint! This is good! Now we can watch all our favorite shows again!
Hey! Did you just vomit on my shoes?! WTF!? What's the matter with you?! Come on! I just bought these with the money I saved from cutting off my cable, and you go and puke your breakfast on them? Have some decency!
So anyways, the writers strike is over. Don't vomit on anyone's shoes. If you're curious when your favorite shows will be coming back - turns out you'll have to wait a while. Most shows won't return until spring, some not until fall, and few not at all. Here's a few of the one's I can't wait to see come back:
The originally nearly unwatched show, (immortalized and shot into the spotlight by Tina Fey's Emmy acceptance speech in which she thanked their 'dozens and dozens of viewers') has been going strong for 2 seasons now, but unfortunately suffered a blow from the writer's strike. Expect anywhere from 5 to 10 episodes ready to air by spring.
Honestly, I was certain this show was set to crash and burn, so I watched it to see the carnage. However, much to my surprise, I liked it. It was funny, had a weird plot that made you want to keep watching in some odd way, and reminds me of how there's a geek in all of us. Unfortunately though, I'll, I mean we, will have to wait until fall for any new 'sodes.
Although the show has been steadily declining in rankings and viewership, CSI is still a heavyweight on the TV scene. There are plans for 4 to 9 new episodes to air in March, April and May.
This is my favorite drama. Ever. How can you not like a doctor like House? Although many viewers are disappointed that his old team has been fired or quit, I am interested to see how the new team will play out in the series. Sadly, though, we'll have to wait until spring for 4 to 6 new episodes to air in April and/or May.
I'll admit it. This really isn't a good show. It's a comedy through and through and there's really not much to it. What it is though, is hilarious. So, I have come to a conclusion: Any show with a guy named Earl in it is 100% guaranteed to be one of the funniest things you have ever seen. Regarding Earl, expect 8 -10 new episodes to air in spring.
If House is my favorite drama, then The Office is my favorite comedy. From the bat in the office to Michael, the boss, going out into the wilderness to be one with nature. There just isn't many other places you can find that much comedy in one place. It makes me all warm inside. (That's what she said.) 6 new episodes set to air in April/May.

...Or he said.
I guess this means 24 will be starting up again. I also vomit.
House is back?????? Hurah!
*dances*
I just finished watching all of my TIVO'ed episodes (from November through now) and I need more.
OK, I'm done. :P
Ditto. ;) :)
Battlestar Galactica!
YES!!!!!!!!!!!
Amen to that.
Heroes. But I alredy have an article about that.
Supernatural is the show I'm looking forward to. Actually we have two more original episodes before it goes into hiatus. I can't wait for it to come back.
Having never seen The Office, I cannot look forward to its return (I do not find the guy "Evan Almighty" the least bit funny).
House is ok as a study in people but it is not realistic medical show.
The biggest effect of the Writer's Strike is that it put a lot of people out of work permanently. Many more than the few writers out of work.
CSI, Criminal Minds, NUMB3RS yay!
Journeyman No new episodes expected. Ever.
Two and a Half Men Expected to shoot 9 new episodes to begin airing on March 17.
I hate the world... almost as much as I hate Two and a Half Men.
Two and a Half Men is so formulaic that it isn't even funny.
I wonder if Caprica is still going to be picked up.
I must still like formula. I like Two and a Half Men.
I weep for you.
All CBS Monday sitcoms are returning on March 17th.
Anyone know if "Life" will be back on - that is probably my favorite current show. That guy is just so odd.
I really like it - the main character is caught in a web of intrigue but he is slowly unraveling it. I don't think there is room for many seasons in the story line but I really hope they complete his story.
